The Caboche Plus Piccola LED Wall Lamp has been created by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto for the brand Foscarini. Meaning 'head' in French, Caboche is composed from a cluster of transparent spheres. The frame recedes from view, allowing these decorative elements to work beautifully with an LED array, creating a sparkling light-show that will enhance anyone's home.
The Caboche Plus Piccola LED Wall Lamp is a relatively small entry in the family, which is why it's labelled as 'piccola', which means 'small' in Italian. The shade measures 31cm in diameter and is 19.5cm high, while it protrudes 18cm from the wall. The edges of the lamp are made from transparent PMMA spheres which are connected via an aluminium frame. Thanks to a 'twist and lock' system, this can hardly be seen when the lamp is in place. A blown glass diffuser is also located underneath the spheres, casting a glittering, muted light in all directions.
The Caboche Plus Piccola LED Wall Lamp is lightweight, at just 2.6kg, and it can be customised via external dimmers if needed. Inside the glass diffuser, the lamp features a custom-made LED board which is fixed inside the luminaire and cannot be replaced.
