Invisible Side Table

The Invisible Side Table has been created by Tokujin Yoshioka for the brand Kartell. It gets its name from the material it is made of which is polymethyl methacrylate 'PMMA'. It is clear so you can see through it which creates an illusion of invisibility.

The PMMA that the Invisible Side Table is made of is a type of synthetic resin. It is light enough that it can easily be moved from room to room, yet strong and durable. It is also weatherproof so the table can safely be used not only indoors but also outdoors. It has a rectangular tabletop and a base that defies convention. Rather than the usual four legs in every corner, it has two panels on either end of the table. They provide a solid support for the tabletop and whatever is placed on it.

The Invisible Side Table has a length of 120cm, a width of 40cm and a height of 40cm. It is available in other sizes that can be used to create a nest of tables. The clear surfaces of the table work to create the illusion that a room is larger than it is making it ideal for studio apartments, small living rooms and other compact spaces.
