Floob Suspension Lamp

The Floob Suspension Lamp was designed by Karim Rashid for the Kdln brand, and is a beautifully conceived piece of interior product design.

Rashid is a prolific, and accomplished, product designer, having launched thousands of popular products throughout his career. Born in Egypt in 1960, he was educated in Canada and Italy, becoming one of the world's foremost industrial design specialists in the 80s and 90s. He also received a Red Dot Design Award in 2012, and his pieces have been absorbed into the collections of prestigious institutions like the Centre Pompidou or MoMa. So he's definitely in the top tier of world designers.

Products like the Floob Suspension Lamp demonstrate why. Delicately formed from spun plexiglass, the Floob collection combine the use of strong, adaptable plastic materials with Rashid's keen aesthetic eye.
