Tablo Side Table Ø50cm

The Tablo Side Table Ø50cm was created by Nicholai Wiig Hansen for the Normann furniture label, and is a beautifully balanced, elegantly designed item for anyone's home.

An up-and-coming Danish design talent, Wiig Hansen bases his work around balance and practicality, crafting harmonious stools, chairs and tables that manage to be both elegant and useful in equal measure. Although he has a relatively short career behind him, Hansen has been praised by the Red Dot Awards panel and has staged his own exhibits at the Milan Furniture Fair. If pieces like the Tablo Side Table Ø50cm are representative of his work, his future is bright.

The foundation of the Tablo collection is simplicity, which accurately describes this compact side table. Wiig Hansen has stripped away all unnecessary elements, leaving a set of three wooden legs and a circular plastic tabletop with a trio of sockets for the legs to fit into. The table measures 42cm tall, 50cm across and weighs just 4.9kg, making it very easy to move around and use wherever required.

With this table, Hansen has certainly achieved his aim of producing a superbly useful product without sacrificing aesthetic appeal along the way.
