The App Wall LED Wall Lamp was designed by the Berlin studio Formfjord for the German lighting label Serien.
Serien was started in 1985 by Manfred Wolf and Jean-Marc da Costa. The firm soon achieved an international reputation for creating innovative lighting solutions that blended functionality, design and technology. Highlights of their output include the minimalist SML collection, a perennial favourite among interior designers. Other noted collections include the Poppy line of ceiling, floor and table lamps. Designed by Ulrich Beckert, Georg Soanca-Pollack, and Peter Thammer, these are striking in both design and luminosity.
Winner of the Design Plus Award at Light+Building 2016, the App Wall LED Wall Lamp emits a warm-white light upwards, downwards and to the sides for a soft ambient illumination. With a polycarbonate shade and aluminum body, the lamp features a built-in dimmer to allow total control over brightness. Available in a range of finishes, including transparent, opal and broken ice, the unit measures 17cm square and has a depth of 6.5cm. Equipped with a 15 Watt bulb, the App Wall LED Wall Lamp delivers a rich and subtle lucence to any room whether bathroom, dining area, bedroom or hall.
