The BCC Basic Coffee Machine has been created by Smeg for the brand Smeg. The Italian brand has become synonymous with cutting edge technology and unique designs for their small and large appliances. One such appliance is the BCC Basic Coffee Machine. This 1950s coffee machine with a removable brewing unit and water tank uses a thermoblock heating system. It is an espresso machine but it can be used to brew a perfect cup of full body or light ristretto coffee, Americano and long coffee. Its grinding level, coffee length and height dispenser are adjustable. Water hardness can be adjusted to light, medium or hard. An alarm will sound if the machine needs to be cleaned of calcium accumulated from hard water, if the coffee grounds container is full, if there is no coffee, no water in the tank or the brewing group is missing or improperly inserted. It will automatically rinse on start-up and switch off after 20 minutes of inactivity. Its water tank has a capacity of 1.4 litres and it can take 150 grammes of coffee at a time.

The BCC Basic Coffee Machine has a height of 33.6cm, a width of 18cm and a depth of 26.5cm. This is both a functional and a decorative appliance.
