The Nelson Bench 122x46.9x35.3cm has been created by George Nelson for the brand Vitra. Nelson was a major American designer of the 20th century who was known for his playful creations. The Nelson Bench is one of his most popular designs and was first created as a furnishing for Nelson's own office at Fortune Magazine.

This refined bench has an almost architectural feel, with a strong composition and intelligent use of materials. The upper surface of the Nelson Bench 122x46.9x35.3cm is made from a series of slats fashioned from natural ash wood, with three cross slats placed along the seat to add strength and definition. This surface is joined by a wraparound base with two legs, which is also made from ash wood. Two colour versions are available: a model with a natural ash finish for the seat and a black design.

The Nelson Bench 122x46.9x35.3cm measures 122cm long and 46.9cm wide, while the seat height is 35.3cm - a comfortable configuration for relaxing at home or taking work breaks. The use of slats and minimal base materials gives it a pure, uncluttered look which will slot neatly into any contemporary interior, and the lightweight design also means that handling the bench should be easy.
