The Alfi Chair was designed by Jasper Morrison for EMECO.
EMECOis a US-based company that strives to use recycled, reclaimed and sustainable materials where possible. The company also makes much of its furniture by hand. Jasper Morrison is a British designer whose philosophy aligns with that of the manufacturer, so together they created the Alfi Chair range.
This high-back, low seat, armless dining chair from the Alfi range has been designed for its timeless appeal and comfort and, like most chairs in the company's range, has been produced with reclaimed materials. The frame is constructed in an attractive ash wood, whilst the seat is made from a durable and easy-to-clean, moulded, reclaimed polypropylene. Drawing on mid-century dining chair design principles, this chair incorporates a blend of natural and functional materials as well as clean lines and a comfortable, ergonomic low seat.
The chair is 43.2cm wide, 50cm deep, 80cm high and has a seat height of 45.5cm. Available in a range of seat colour finishes, customers can buy a set of one colour or mix it up with contrasting options.
