Product description

The Skygarden 2 Suspended Lamp has been created by Marcel Wanders for the brand Flos. Its ingenuity earned the designer an Elle Deco International Design Award 'EDIDA' for lighting in 2008. A house he previously lived in that had an elaborate plaster ceiling inspired the design.

The Skygarden 2 Suspended Lamp has a hemispherical shade made of cast plaster with a support made of die-cast aluminium alloy. It is painted on the outside and white on the inside where a stunning, tactile floral design can be seen. It also has an upper cable gland and blocking ring made of dark injection-moulded polycarbonate 'PC'. The lamp casts light through a diffuser made of flashed and blown opal glass diffuser. It casts a soft, white light downwards. The bulb holder and support for fixing are made of a type of plastic called PPS.

The Skygarden 2 Suspended Lamp has a height of 45cm and a diameter of 90cm. It comes in shades that have neutral matte or glossy exteriors. The tactile floral design will give any space a unique, sophisticated look. A row or circle of them around a dining table or in an entryway will look spectacular.
