Butterfly Wall Lamp

The Butterfly Wall Lamp has been created by Toni Rie for the brand Frandsen. It is made up of tiered dome-shaped shades. The way they are attached to each other resembles the graceful wings on a butterfly.

The Butterfly Wall Lamp has aluminium shades. The upper hemispherical shade is smaller and is upturned. The one below is larger and faces downwards. The opening on the lower shade accommodates a light source that casts direct, soft white light. Small beams are also cast from the perforations on the top shade. The lamp is attached to an arched rounded rod that is finished to match the glossy shades. It is secured with a round wall plate that has an on/off switch. The rod extends beyond the wall plate and has the textile cable attached to it. They create an intriguing pattern on the wall when the lamp is turned on.

The Butterfly Wall Lamp has a width of 21cm, a height of 48cm and a depth of 32cm. Its cable is 250cm long. It is not dimmable and comes in neutral finishes including glossy metallic ones. It is compatible with an E14 socket and its bulb has to be purchased separately.
