The Roest 30v Suspension Lamp has been created by Joost Joseph van Veldhuizen and graypants for the brand graypants. Dutch designer van Veldhuizen was the perfect choice of collaborator to work for a brand that believes in blazing new trails with its designs. The collaboration yielded something completely new in design and the choice of materials. The goal was to combine nature and science in a way never before attempted.

The Roest 30v Suspension Lamp was a success in this regard. The collaborators have gone in an unexpected direction, using rusted steel to make the shade of the lamp. The choice of raw material was arrived at as a test to see what nature would do when metal, oxygen, water and time were left alone together. What it did was present a raw material that could be used to make the most unique lighting accessory. The column-shaped shade comes with a rustic finish or a combination rustic and zinc finish. It is finished to avoid staining or further rusting. The Roest 30v Suspension Lamp has a height of 30cm, a diameter of 6cm and a canopy with a diameter of 10cm. It has a cable that is 200cm long. The appropriate bulb for the GU10 socket can be ordered under accessories.
