The innovative design studio Graypants has its roots in Seattle, USA. But the two architects, Seth and Jon, had a taste for creativity that aspired for more. Scribbled down on a sheet of paper on the spur of the moment, they created a completely new company in 2007, which today exports all over the world. In 2012, a branch was established in Amsterdam to tap into and capitalise on Europe’s creative side. It is a success story that really is second to none and is based on truly unique objects.
And there was light
Although Graypants sees itself as a multifunctional company that draws its sophistication and uniqueness from its proficiency across all areas, lights seem to be where its true fascination lies – especially when it comes to radiant celestial objects such as the Sun pendant light, which is available in different sizes to brighten up your interior. The celestial bodies in the Scraplights series are attractive either on their own or arranged in groups – see for yourself!
A little drop of class
The teardrop-shaped Drop pendant light also reflects a love of shape and structure. This beautiful masterpiece among lights is made of recycled cardboard, making it a sustainable model, something which Graypants values greatly. The two directors are also well aware of that all-important basic element in all creative processes: fun! This is something which is important not only among the design team, but also in your own living space.
