Special Edition 172 Suspension Lamp

The Special Edition 172 Suspension Lamp has been created by Poul Christiansen for the brand Le Klint. The innovative designer set a benchmark with the use of plastic foil that he fashioned into elegant, petal-like waves. It is being reissued as part of the brand's 50th anniversary of the 1971 debut of the original iconic Sinus Line Model 172. When the lamp is lit, it casts light not only downwards but also through the spaces in between the waves. The effect is a stunning play of light and shadows against the wall.

The Special Edition 172 Suspension Lamp is an enhancement of the original design with a fabric suspension cord that has the detailing of a brass ring on the lower end. The lamp is available in two sizes. The smaller one has a height of 31cm and a diameter of 33cm while the larger one has a height of 40cm and a diameter of 44cm. An assembly of the lamp in different sizes will create a sophisticated and festive ambience over a space. The Special Edition 172 Suspension Lamp is ideal for use over dining tables, living rooms, entryways and hallways.
