The Marx Wall Lamp has been created by Richard Neutra for the brand Martinelli Luce. The Marx lamp first appeared in 1928 and has become a classic of the modernist era. Now, this stylish wall lamp has been updated by Martinelli Luce, adding brushed steel frame elements and energy efficient light sources. The result is a lamp which will enhance living rooms, bedrooms, and many other interior spaces.
The Marx Wall Lamp uses indirect light to illuminate wall surfaces. It has an unusual form, featuring a curved plate made from brushed stainless steel and a wooden frame which is separated from the wall. Slender metallic threads provide support at the base of the lamp, while there is also an extra steel bracket underneath the diffuser, which casts light onto the curved plate. This light is cast downwards and around, creating an appealing spoke-like pattern of shading.
The Marx Wall Lamp measures 16cm wide and 32cm deep, while it has a height of 90cm and weighs 6kg. The lamp creates a maximum brightness of 1,450lm as well as a colour warmth of 3000K. It uses energy efficient bulbs and the appropriate lamp with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
