This petite and charming Cha Sugar Bowl was designed by Naoto Fukasawa for the label Alessi.
Alessi began life as a workshop in the Italian Alps back in 1921. After developing metal objects for restaurants and hotels in the 1950s, the firm expanded into homeware, and later collaborated with some leading designers. Such was the innovative beauty of the designs that the firm was nicknamed the "Dream Factory". Iconic items in the firm's extensive opus include the stunning Anna G corkscrew; with its smiling face and svelte form, it's said to be inspired by a former paramour.
Named after the Japanese word for tea Cha , the Cha Sugar Bowl is fashioned from hardy and elegant 18/10 stainless steel. It features a lid with a handle, which keeps the sugar clean and dry. The lid also has a handy spoon holder at its edge. Measuring 7cm in height and with a diameter of 8cm, the unit is compact enough for any setting. Sleek and stylish, it brings a timeless sense of style to the daily ritual of adding sugar to tea or coffee. With its chic finish and rich functionality, the Cha Sugar Bowl will enliven any breakfast or dinner table.
