The Cronotime Table Clock was designed by Pio Manzu for popular Italian homeware brand Alessi.
Manzu was the son of famed sculptor Giacomo Manzu, and began his studies in 1959 as an industrial designer at the Hochschule fur Gestaltung at Ulm, graduating with a thesis on the 'safe tractor'. From 1967, he worked as a consultant for Fiat and designed the iconic City Taxi, Autobianchi Couple and Fiat 127 prior to moving onto homeware designs in the late '60s with the Psychological Armchair, Manzu Armchair and Parentesi Lamp.
Keep the time close at hand and stylishly displayed with the distinguished Cronotime Table Clock. Showcasing an attention-grabbing curved shape that seems to rise gracefully from the desk or table top it is placed on, the face of the clock is neatly proportioned with a 7cm diameter that lets you read the time easily without squinting. Standing at 8.5cm high, the clock takes up little space, making it ideal for use at work on cubicle desks, next to your laptop at home or on a sideboard shelf. The matte finish of the clock face prevents glare and contrasts elegantly with the sheen of the body for a contemporary feel.
