This prolific design house has a reputation for creating household items that add elegance and originality to tried-and-tested concepts. The company has its roots in 1930s Italy, when Carlo Alessi started working in his father's metal workshop. During the next two decades, Carlo would design and create a range of successful product lines of his own. He took over the family business in the 1950s, and started to collaborate with designers from all over the world. As a result, it wasn't long before this quintessentially Italian business had a loyal following worldwide.

The Gino Zucchino Sugar Castor is a fun set of sugar holders that will bring a smile to your face. These whacky items take the shape of alien-like creature, with big feet and a giant smiling face. They are made with moulded plastic, which ensures they keep sugar dry and fresh. Each item weighs just 200 grams and holds 0.2 litres of sugar.
