The stylish modern Harmonic Bowl was designed by Abi Alice for popular furniture brand Alessi.
Alice was born in Sydney, Australia and splits her professional time between London and Sydney. She has a wide-ranging skill set including painting, sculpture and object design, taking many of her design ideas from photographs of her travels. Alice's design ethos is underpinned by mathematics, geometry and spatiality, giving her designs a modern minimalist look that resonates in the universal language of figures. The hallmarks of her design include universal appeal that transcends age, culture or background; form and colour-form combination; and a state of balance. Her work is showcased in public and private collections across the globe, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
The vibrant Harmonic Bowl showcases an innovative laser-cut and bend design with slimline sides that have been curved into an elegant origami-style image. Utilising a blend of curved and straight lines and minimalist design, this bowl channels a modern sophistication that works well in any room including kitchens, dining rooms and living room sideboard areas. The bowl can be filled with a number of items, including bread, confectionary and fruit, and blends in seamlessly with any environment due to its compact 11cm height and 22cm diameter.
