The Mami Salad Servers were created by Stefano Giovannoni for Italian design company Alessi.
Alessi has a rich history, as the company has been in operation for many decades. It was founded in 1921, and since then has become a leader in the kitchenware industry. It is known for its collaborations with some of the world's most celebrated designers, including Philippe Starck, who designed the Juicy Salif lemon squeezer in 1990.
The Mami Salad Servers come from internationally recognised designer Stefano Giovannoni. Giovannoni graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Florence in 1978, and now lives and works in Milan. He has worked as a professor at several renowned universities and design institutions such as the Domus Academy in Milan, and he won the New York Interior Design Award in 2012.
