The 60 Stool Clear Lacquered Base has been created by Alvar Aalto for the brand Artek.Designed in 1933, it has continued to hold its own in terms of style. Clean, uncluttered lines give it a profile that is sleek and timeless.

The 60 Stool Clear Lacquered Base is made of Finnish birch wood and birch veneer. It has a seat that has a thickness that makes it sturdy and comfortable to sit on. It is supported by a base that is uniquely shaped. It departs from the customary in two ways. One is that it has three rather than four legs. The second is that the legs are not straight or set in the corner. Rather, the bar-shaped legs are curved at the top and the seat is positioned above the curvature. This creates the illusion that is levitating. It also eliminates the need for joints and fasteners which works to maintain the stool's clean look. Additionally, it makes it possible to stack the stools when they need to be stored away.

The 60 Stool Clear Lacquered Base has a height of 44cm, a diameter of 38cm and a seat height of 44cm. It comes with a clear-lacquered base and seats in bright or neutral colours.
