Product description

The 60 Stool Lacquered Base has been created by Alvar Aalto for the brand Artek.It was designed in 1933. It has held its own since then, never losing its appeal thanks to its timeless style.

The 60 Stool Lacquered Base is made of birch wood, veneer and linoleum sourced from Finland. It has a thick, round seat that would be comfortable if the stool was to be used for extra seating. It is supported by a unique base. It departs from the norm with three legs rather than the customary four. The legs are curved inwards at the top and they are attached to the underside of the seat. It is positioned such that the seat appears to float because there are no joints or fasteners used. It also leaves a part of the upper leg on display next to the seat which adds another aesthetic detail. These legs also make it possible for the stool to be stacked for convenient storage.

The 60 Stool Lacquered Base has a height of 44cm, a diameter of 38cm and a seat height of 44cm. It comes with a clear-lacquered base with either a neutral or bright-coloured seat.
