The 901 Tea Trolley Birch Base has been created by Alvar Aalto for the brand Artek. Designed in 1936, it is a timeless piece that is still in demand today. Its features borrow from both Japanese and British culture.

The 901 Tea Trolley Birch Base has wheels rather than legs on one end. They have a rubberised edge which makes it easy to move the trolley. On the other side, it has wooden bars shaped into U-shaped frames. These are joined to the middle of the wheels which stabilises the base. One end of it has a round bar for pushing the trolley. It has two rectangle-shaped tops. They are also made of birch and are topped with laminate.

The 901 Tea Trolley Birch Base has a length of 90cm, a width of 50cm and a height of 56cm. Although it is a tea trolley, this piece is a versatile one that can be used for other purposes. It can be used as a bar cart for holding alcoholic drinks that can be set up in a living or dining room. It can also stand in an entryway, especially in small homes or hold flowers, vases and other decorative items in a living room.
