The Tupla Wall Hook was designed by Erwan Bouroullec and Roman Bouroullec for the brand Artek .
Leading Finnish homes and furniture brand Artek was founded over 80 years ago. Then, as now, the brand stood for 'poetic simplicity', functionalism and clarity. Early pioneers of Modernism, their household items such as the Tupla Wall Hook epitomise that movement's blend of art and technology and this approach underpins the design principles of the company. Siblings Erwan and Roman Bouroullec have won numerous accolades for their collaborative work.
The design duo are well known for creating small, perfect masterpieces such as the Tupla Wall Hook . Formed of a single, ribbon-like piece of powder-coated steel measuring 3cm in width , the Tupla Wall Hook encompasses two small hooks as well as a large round loop, which can also be used to hang hooded clothes or scarves upon. In its deliberately simple, folded shape, the entire hook measures 31cm in length and has a depth of 13.5cm. Perfect for use in a hallway or even the inside of a large cupboard door, it is also an ideal addition to a hotel room or restaurant entrance.
