The Tolomeo Basculante Tavolo Desk Lamp has been created by Giancarlo Fassina and Michele de Lucchi for the brand Artemide. Blending fine materials, compact dimensions, and a clever spring loaded mechanism for balancing, Tolomeo is a precision engineered table lamp that will suit professional and home users alike.

The form of the Tolomeo Basculante Tavolo Desk Lamp features a cantilever design comprising metallic elements connected via adaptable hinges. The shade of the lamp is formed into an upturned cone, and comes in silk satin or parchment versions. Both have a rich texture and cast a muted light downwards, with minimal glare to distract readers. Meanwhile, the stem is made from aluminium and includes a series of spring loaded joints. These allow users to tilt the lamp as needed, while retaining complete stability - ideal for architects, students, and desk workers.

The Tolomeo Basculante Tavolo Desk Lamp measures 65cm wide and 66cm high, with a shade diameter of 18cm and a 23cm diameter base. The lamp can also be secured via a clamp, removing the base entirely. It comes with a 200cm long cable, and the switch is located on the base. A single tube-style bulb is required, and the appropriate lamp with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
