ML 42 Stool 48cm

The ML 42 Stool 48cm has been created by Mogens Lassen for the brand Audo. Danish architect Lassen drew inspiration from shoemaker's stools for this design, which was submitted to the Danish Museum of Decorative Art in 1942. The ML 42 Stool 48cm stool remains sought after today for its elegance and comfort.

The sculpted seat of the ML 42 stool has a straight edge on one side and curves on the other side that rise to meet in the middle. The seat is slightly sunken in the middle which further plays up the arches, while a tripod base made from rounded wooden legs supports the seat. The middle leg is straight while the others are slightly outspread, making the stool more stable and durable.

The ML 42 Stool 48cm has a length of 55cm, a width of 55.5cm and a height of 48cm with a seat height of 48cm. It is available in soaped oak, black stained oak or brown stained oiled oak. In every case, the grain of the wood is on display which gives the stool an organic look. This stool can be used as a side table to hold decorative items like potted plants or can also stand on its own as a versatile seat.
