Tearoom Side Chair Swivel

The Tearoom Side Chair Swivel has been created by Nick Ross for the brand Audo. Back in the day, high tea was a major social event. It was hosted in spaces that were decked out to suit the elites.

Named after this event, the Tearoom Side Chair Swivel would have been a fitting chair for even the grandest visitor. It has a high backrest with an upper edge that is crescent-shaped. Its overstuffed seat has the same curved line along its inner edge. The chair's shell is made of plywood which can be moulded to form curves. The backrest has two layers of HR foam over it while the seat has five. Foam flex, belts and webbing reinforce the seat so that it holds its shape and does not sag. The inner parts are concealed beneath upholstery fabric. Kvadrat fabric has been used for this. It has a woollen texture that gives the chair a soft, inviting look and feel. Rather than the conventional four-legged frame, this chair sits on an MDF base that can swivel which adds a whole other dimension to it.

The Tearoom Side Chair Swivel has a width of 60cm, a height of 78cm and a depth of 58cm. Its seat height is 47cm. It is available in neutral colours.
