Collections by Arper

Arper was founded in Italy in the year 1989 and originally used to be a leather workshop. Thanks to their know-how in the area of leather processing the relatively young label quickly established itself with their own leather collections.

In the 1990s the manufacturer began expanding their product range and designing furniture made of other materials, such as aluminium or synthetic materials. The items by Arper are innovative, balanced, and versatile. The functional collections are suited for the use at home as well as in the office or in public spaces, outdoors as indoors, and will turn every environment into a warm, inviting place.

Arper's unique designs were already honoured with many awards, among others the Red Dot Award 2012 and the Interior Innovation Award 2011. The Catifa chair also won the FX International Interior Design Award in England in the year 2002.

The famous Catifa 53 chair is the first of all Catifa chairs made by Arper and was designed by Lievore, Altherr, and Molina. The Catifa chair's design discards everything superfluous without losing any of its attractiveness. The beautiful, curved seat shell combined with the smooth surface make the chair a timeless design object.

The frame of the Catifa chair by Arper is available in different materials: lacquered chrome-plated steel, anti-rust satin-coated steel, aluminium, or powder-coated aluminium. The modern Catifa chair's frame can be ordered with skids, star-base, with or without wheels, with or without armrests, or with four legs made of aluminium or wood. Despite the large selection of colours, materials, and frames the universality of the Catifa chair never loses its essential character.

The Catifa 46 chair is the little sister of the Catifa 53 chair. This designer piece by label Arper is made for use in private living spaces as well as public business areas, and is suited for indoors as well as outdoors. The seat shell is made of double-folded plywood, is lacquered uni or bicoloured, and is delivered with a leather, fabric, or upholstered seat.
