The process is a manual one so there are minor differences between similar pieces. To get the desired shape and size, glass is poured into a mould in liquid form. A mouth-blowing pipe is then used to blow it into every part of the mould. When it solidifies, it will have taken the shape of the mould. On this set, each glass has its own look. Some have a tapered bottom in the middle, others have it close to the bottom and others higher up.
