Glo Ball S1 Suspension Lamp

The Glo Ball S1 Suspension Lamp has been created by Jasper Morrison for the brand Flos. Industrial designer Morrison takes the approach of disrupting the norm by adding an unexpected twist on a classic with the result of a product that has an edge, optimised functionality and undeniable visual appeal. This is certainly true of the Glo Ball S1 Suspension Lamp. This sphere-shaped suspension lamp has a diffuser made of a hand-blown, externally-etched, flashed opaline glass. It has a support fixture made of pressed steel that remains unobtrusive thanks to its glossy white lacquered finish. Its canopy is made from 30 percent fibreglass reinforced injection-molded polyamide. It is suspended from the ceiling with a steel suspension cable.

The Glo Ball S1 Suspension Lamp has a height of 27cm, a diameter of 33cm and a suspension height of 370cm. Its canopy has a diameter of 15cm. It casts a warm, white light that is externally dimmable. The appropriate bulb with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories. Made for indoor use, this lamp will look elegant hanging over a kitchen or dining table. It can also be used to light up an entryway. One looks good but a pair will look better.
