Skygarden Small Suspended Lamp

The Skygarden Small Suspended Lamp has been created by Marcel Wanders for the brand Flos. Dutch desinger Wanders works out of his studio in Amsterdam where he oversees a team that aspires to create pieces that respect and showcase the diverse cultures of the world. The designer loves to challenge convention and come up with designs that are romantic, holistic and surreal. That came out clearly with the Skygarden Small Suspended Lamp that won him the Elle Decoration International Design Award in 2008. With this design, he departed from the norm with a suspension lamp that had a smooth shade made of coloured blown milk glass that is sharply contrasted with an interior made of relief plaster. The plaster has idyllic patterns of delicate flowers and butterflies that are photoengraved and deep drawn. Another standout detail is various finishes that each display the plaster relief differently.

The Skygarden Small Suspended Lamp has a height of 30cm and a diameter of 60cm with a suspension height of 270cm. It can be dimmed externally. The appropriate bulb with an E27 socket can be ordered under accessories. It is available in a choice of colours and finishes.
