Fontana Side Table

The Fontana Side Table has been created by Pietro Chies a for the brand Fontana Arte. The beauty of this table is its simplicity. It is essentially a table made of a curved piece of glass.

The Fontana Side Table is made of tempered glass. This is glass that has been treated with chemical or thermal treatments to make it stronger and less likely to break. In the event that it does break, tempered or toughened glass will shatter into small granular chunks rather than jagged pieces that can cause more serious injury. Its thickness of 1.5cm enhances its strength. The glass is handcrafted into a rectangle-shaped tabletop which is curved at the outer edges to form sides and a base that hold it steady on the floor.

The Fontana Side Table comes in three sizes. The smallest has a length of 60cm and a width of 40cm while the mid-sized one has a length of 120cm and a width of 60cm. The largest has a length of 140cm and a width of 70cm. The tables all have a height of 40cm. The clear glass the table is made of means it can work with any existing pieces.
