Birdie LED Floor Lamp

The Birdie LED Floor Lamp has been created by Ludovica Palomba and Roberto Palomba for the brand Foscarini. Inspired by nature, the Birdie LED Floor Lamp resembles a tree with a slanted branch which could easily serve as the perch for a bird. Instead, the Palombas have incorporated it into the lamp's design, using the perch as a dimmer switch to control its brightness - a wonderfully imaginative idea.

The lamp itself measures 150cm tall and is 25cm wide at its broadest point. The diffuser casts light downwards and has been crafted from metalised polycarbonate plastic, while the "trunk" of the lamp is made from robust white-painted steel. A 170cm cable has been included to enable flexible placement anywhere in the home.

Inside the diffuser of the Birdie LED Floor Lamp, the designers have included a socket for a single 4.8W LED bulb. The appropriate bulb with the socket can be ordered under accessories. Fully dimmable, the Birdie LED Floor Lamp is large enough to serve as a living room lamp. It can also be supplemented by smaller entries in Foscarini 's Birdie collection to create nature-themed lighting ensembles.
