Supernate Suspension Lamp Ø 38cm

The Supernate Suspension Lamp Ø 38cm has been created by Jonas Wagell for the brand Frandsen. It is part of a series of lamps distinguished by their ellipsoidal shape, deviating from traditional globe lights. Its unconventional construction allows for various hanging variations.

The weight of the lamp hangs from an almost invisible steel cable, giving the glowing ellipsoid the appearance of floating and contributing to the sculptural character of the Supernate Suspension Lamp Ø 38cm. A thin steel cable and the fabric-covered cable lead from the lampshade to the ceiling, where the lamp is fastened with a canopy. Depending on the suspension height, the cable appears taut or loose. The lampshade is made of oval-shaped opal glass, creating a delicate light shimmer and evenly distributing light in all directions. In contrast to its bright glass, there is a dark bracket resembling a closure in its form.
