The AVION™ Suspension Lamp has been created by Iskos-Berlin for the brand Fritz Hansen. Iskos-Berlin is a Copenhagen-based partnership between industrial designers Aleksej Iskos and Boris Berlin. The duo like to experiment with new production materials and techniques to create new forms and new possibilities. It is how the exceptional AVION™ Suspension Lamp came to be. The lamp is inspired the designers' fascination with aircraft, particularly Zeppelins. Made of white polyethylene, it has a playful oval shape that somewhat resembles that of an airship. The lamp is available in three different designs. For minimalist lighting, the version with two E27 sockets is ideal for soft, ambient lighting. For work areas that need bright light but low energy consumption, the one that uses fluorescent tubes is best. A third option is the fluorescent tube lamp in a version that is compatible with DALI.
The AVION™ Suspension Lamp has a width of 85cm and a height of 34.2cm. Its cable is 600cm long. The lamp is easily installed with an adjustable canopy that rotates around a vertical axis so the lamp can be positioned and adjusted as desired. The appropriate bulb with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories. A pair of bulbs are needed.
