Series 7 Chair Front Upholstered Warm Graphite Base

The Series 7™ Chair Front Upholstered Warm Graphite Base has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. The Series 7 was first unveiled in 1955 and has become an icon of Danish design. Its innovative moulded plastic form continues to catch the eye, while its shell and seat are as comfortable as ever.

The Series 7™ Chair Front Upholstered Warm Graphite Base comes with an upholstered seat and back as well as an attractive graphite steel base. The upholstery is supplied by boutique fabric maker Kvadrat and pale rose or midnight blue tones are available. In either case, the fabric is slightly rough but comfortable to the touch and its colour blends harmoniously with the seat and shell. Both of these elements have been made from 9 layers of pressure-moulded veneer, allowing the designers to add curves and forms that would not be possible with ordinary wood.

The back of the chair resembles a rounded triangle and the seat gently bends downwards at the front and upwards at both sides. The Series 7™ Chair Front Upholstered Warm Graphite Base measures 50cm wide and 52cm deep, while the total height is 82cm and the seat height is 46cm. Timeless and practical, the Series 7 will never lose its appeal.
