The About a Chair 123 Armchair has been created by Hee Welling for the brand HAY. Danish industrial designer Welling seeks to pay tribute to his Scandinavian roots with every piece. This is why each one has those hallmark clean lines and a striking visual expression.
The About a Chair 123 Armchair Welling designed for HAY exemplifies this. It has a shell made of polypropylene and polyurethane foam. The backrest, armrest and seat are all one piece, which makes for a sleek, clean silhouette. The curved back and seat that is sloped slightly downwards make for very comfortable sitting. The shell is finished with premium quality upholstery in different shades. The frame upon which the seat rests is made of oak veneer. To make the chair more stable and comfortable, the chair's legs are angled outwards, thereby widening its base. The legs are fitted with protective glides.
The About a Chair 123 Armchair has a width of 62cm, a height of 86cm and a depth of 59.5cm. The seat height is 47.5cm and the backrest height is 86cm. This versatile chair can be used in homes as well as commercial spaces and institutions.
