Willydilly Suspension Lamp

The Willydilly Suspension Lamp has been created by Ingo Maurer for the brand Ingo Maurer. The ingenious designer earned himself the moniker 'Poet of Light' with works that blazed a trail with their unpeered forms and functionality.

The Willydilly Suspension Lamp is a spiral lamp made of paperboard. A fluorescent Japanese clothes peg attaches the shade to the wall via a pull cable. The lamp narrows down to a cone shape at the bottom. This shape can be adjusted using the pull cable which can be used to open it up wide or to narrow it. When it is wide, the lamp casts a brighter light that reaches further and when it is narrow, the light that is cast is discreet. The paperboard the lamp is made of is strong and transparent so that it allows light to shine through it. The paper is wrapped around the light source. All the elements are the same colour which gives the lamp a homogeneous look.

The Willydilly Suspension Lamp has a height of 50cm and a diameter of 35cm. Its suspension height is 450cm while the canopy has a diameter of 9cm. It works with an E27 socket and comes in a selection of colours.
