The Pagoda Parasol Ø 250cm has been created by Jan Kurtz for the brand Jan Kurtz. Its name and design are inspired by the traditional Asian architectural structures known as pagodas. They had multiple layers and eaves but this parasol has one.
The Pagoda Parasol Ø 250cm is made of a type of fabric known as Dralon®. It is designed for use outdoors. It has a coating of Teflon which gives it properties that enable it to stand up to the elements. It repels water and dirt and resists UV rays which ensures it does not fade despite lengthy exposure to the sun. The fabric is draped over a frame made of steel that is finished with a protective varnish. The fabric goes over the frame and leaves the edges free. It is gathered in the middle into a small dome which is in tribute to the traditional pagoda that inspired the design. The frame has a tubular stem in the middle that goes into a base that holds the parasol steady on the ground.
The Pagoda Parasol Ø 250cm has a diameter of 250cm. It comes in neutral colours. Its simple style makes it timeless and ensures it will work in any outdoor space.
