Product description

The AI Metal Armchair has been created by Philippe Starck for the brand Kartell. Designed with the assistance of artificial intelligence, AI is a trailblazing chair that combines exceptional comfort with eye-catching curves. Part sculpture, part functional furnishing, it will work well in living rooms, studies and dining rooms.

The AI Metal Armchair measures 54cm wide, 81cm high and 53cm deep, while the seat height is 45cm and the chair weighs 3.9kg. But these basic measurements conceal some original touches. The AI algorithm used by Starck has generated a rich, sculptural form with supporting struts that resemble tree branches and a backrest with out-turned elements at either side. The frame has been engineered from a technopolymer with a metallic filling. This material features reclaimed scrap fragments which ensures that the AI Metal Armchair is both sustainable and beautiful.

The use of AI offers other benefits such as optimal stability and strength that will extend the lifetime of the AI Metal Armchair and make it more comfortable to use. It is available in a choice of two finishes and both of these give the chair a bold feel that will make an instant impression on anyone who sees it.
