Clap Armchair Synthetic Leather

The stylish Clap Armchair Synthetic Leather was created by Patricia Urquiola for the Italian design label Kartell.

Giulio Castelli founded Kartell in 1949 and since then, it has become a flagship of Italian design and craftsmanship around the world, producing everything from furniture to soft furnishings and lighting to accessories. The label works in collaboration with prestigious international designers such as Patricia Urquiola. Born in Oviedo, Spain, Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid before opening her own studio in Milan in 2001. Her work has won many prizes including the Red Dot Award and the King of Spain Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts.

The organically shaped Clap Armchair Synthetic Leather bears the signature of Urquiola's work. Its armrests flow into the overall contours of its modern shape creating a refined appearance that works equally as well in the home as in public spaces. The chair's sturdy frame is coloured thermoplastic polymer that is finished with a polyurethane-coated seat. This synthetic leather seat covering features a hexagonal texture that adds to the chair's overall appeal. The dimensions of the Clap Armchair Synthetic Leather are 59 x 85 x 56.5 cm.
