Upper Step Ladder

The Upper Step Ladder was designed by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto for Kartell. The Kartell company is famous for the "Made in Italy" label. The brand's catalogue includes a wide range of contemporary products that embody style, functionality and ergonomic design. Established in Italy in the 1940s, the company has been making furniture since 1963.

Alberto Meda is an Italian designer and mechanical engineer known for the Alberto Meda Alessi Collection and the Luceplan Berenice desk lamps. Meda designs very contemporary, minimalist, artistic pieces. Paolo Rizzatto is an Italian designer who specialises in lighting pieces. He favours a blend of Italian and Scandinavian modernism.

The Upper Step Ladder features an artistic appearance and high aesthetic appeal in a useful step ladder. Specially processed polycarbonate gives the ladder a robust nature and pleasing, high-gloss appearance. The metallic supports are welded to the transparent polycarbonate body to ensure the ladder is strong and solid. The steps are non-slip to ensure safety near the bookcase, kitchen cupboards, bathrooms or garage at night. The ladder measures 60cm in height, 58cm in width and 46cm in length. It weighs 4.5 kg, making it easy to move.
