Brno Armchair

The Brno Armchair has been created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the brand Knoll International. It is a picture of minimalism and elegance with its clean lines and graceful curves. Designed in 1930, its timeless style is still appreciated and sought after today.

The Brno Armchair has a standard height, wide backrest that provides adequate support for the back. The seat below it is also well-sized and it has similar, straight lines. They are countered by the curved base. The chair has metallic armrests with padding over them. They are straight and then they curve towards the seat and go on to form sledge-style legs in one continuous curve. A metallic bar runs across the legs under the seat to enhance the armchair's stability and strength. This armchair has no visible fasteners that attach the shell to the base. The shell has an inner frame made of hardwood and padded with foam. It is upholstered with Volo leather. It is treated with chromium tanning and aniline dying that enriches and fortifies it.

The Brno Armchair has a width of 58cm, a height of 79cm and a depth of 59cm. Its seat height is 46cm. It is available in a variety of colours with a chrome-plated base.
