Elephant Rocking Chair

The quirky and distinctive Elephant Rocking Chair was designed for the inventive manufacturer Kristalia by the renowned and internationally-acclaimed design team Eva Paster and Micheal Geldmacher of Neuland Industriedesign.

The pair met as undergraduates at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich before establishing their own design studio in 1999. The talented designers have focussed their attention on interior furnishings since 2005 and have received international respect among the design community for their innovation and sharp designs. Among the many awards that the designers have received are the Chicago Good Design Award, the Elle Deco's Award, the Paper Design Award 2011 and they have also received a nomination for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Available in a range of harmonious colours, the Elephant Rocking Chair is based on the timeless classic rocker but has a modern edge. The seat and backrest are constructed from sturdy polyurethane and the curved runners are crafted from solid, turned beech wood. Durable and robust, the Elephant Rocking Chair is easily cleaned and will remain in peak condition for years to come. The chair measures 62 x 81 x 84 cm, with a seat height of 44cm.
