The unique and ergonomically designed Sharky Chair With Frontal Upholstered was designed for the renowned manufacturer Kristalia by the multi-award-winning, Munich-based designer Michael Geldmacher. After graduating from Munich's University of Applied Sciences, Geldmacher established his own studio Neuland Industriedesign with Eva Paster, another former student of the University of Applied Sciences. Since 2005, Geldmacher has focused his attention on furniture design and has collaborated with many prominent manufacturers. Also a lecturer, Geldmacher has received many accolades for his designs, including the Elle Deco Design Award, IF Product Design Award, the Chicago Good Design Award and in 2007, was nominated for the Compasso D'Oro.
Although the Sharky Chair With Frontal Upholstered does not resemble a shark in shape, the shades used for the chair's seat and underside allude to a sharks colouring. The sturdy, wooden legs support the durable polyurethane seat, which is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort. This lovely item of furniture can be utilised in the dining room, study, office or any other space in the home. Made from one piece, the backrest and seat are covered with fabric, which is easy to clean and maintain. The chair Measures 81 x 44 x 54 cm, with a seat height of 44cm.
