The Continuum S108 Bar Stool Seat Multiplex 80cm has been created by Fabio Bortolani for the brand Lapalma. It is not only a functional piece but also a decorative one. It stands out with its sculptural base. It won its designer the Interior Innovation Award in 2012.

The Continuum S108 Bar Stool Seat Multiplex 80cm has a square-shaped seat made of moulded open-pore wood finished with staining. Its sides are framed with stainless steel. The framing extends downwards to the floor. In front, the varnished metal takes the form of straight bars. On the other side, it looks like two cubes that are stacked on top of each other. The base is made of a single piece of metal that is curved and arched to give it a three-dimensional look. This design is reminiscent of the shape of a paper clip. It is, in fact, this simple item that inspired this innovative design.
