Product description

The Voido Rocking Chair has been created by Ron Arad for the brand Magis. A first glance will reveal that it is the work of a talented sculptor. The chair combines art, sculpting and function in one unexampled piece.

The Voido Rocking Chair is made of polyethene. It is a type of engineered plastic widely used for industrial applications including making furniture. Apart from being lightweight, strong and durable, it is particularly advantageous when it comes to furniture because it is weatherproof. Pieces made from polyethene can be safely used indoors and outdoors. The chair is one singular piece that doesn't have any joints or fasteners. This works with its crisp lines to give it a clean, sleek silhouette. The chair is all curved lines from the backrest that dips to form a deep seat. The lines continue downward to the base which can rock back and forth. Two oval-shaped cutouts on the seat and base enhance the chair's aesthetics while retaining its refined, minimalistic profile.

The Voido Rocking Chair has a width of 58cm, a height of 78cm and a depth of 114cm. Its seat height is 50cm. It is available in neutral and bright colours that have a sophisticated-looking high-gloss finish.
