The quirky Ripple Chair was created by Ron Arad for leading Italian design company Moroso.
Moroso has been in operation since 1952, when it was founded by the family of the same name. It is still run by them to this day, and the company has moved with the times to favour a modern aesthetic that blends art and fashion with great design.
The Ripple Chair comes from the imagination of Israeli designer Ron Arad, who studied at both the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and the Architectural Association in London. He is known for his 'Rover' chair, the 'Bookworm' bookshelf and for his teaching position at the Royal College of Art.
The Ripple Chair is a multi-purpose and eye-catching chair that can be used indoors and outdoors. It is made from an outlandishly designed moulded polypropylene seat and a polished stainless steel frame. It is ideal for offices or small spaces as it is stackable. It comes in a range of fun and neutral colours to suit every decorating scheme. It has a width of 68cm, height of 80cm, depth of 59cm and a seat height of 44cm. It weighs 10kg.
