Sirius Suspension Lamp

The Sirius Suspension Lamp was designed by Carlo Colombo for the manufacturer Nemo.

Measuring only 40cm in diameter by 20cm in shade height, this strikingly original lamp proves that great ideas don't need to be on a large scale to capture our attention. Its confidence and sense of artistry clearly place it in the Italian design tradition of which it can claim to be a modern classic. A beautiful centrepiece for any room, it would look perfect as the focal point above a dining table or in any space where glass or mirrors can reflect and accentuate its light and form. Its beautiful quality of light is all down to the choice of materials and construction: the shade is manufactured from two layers of blown Triplex glass, while the ring-shaped arrangement of light bulbs inside provides an even, 360 degree illumination.
