Gear Side Table

The Gear Side Table has been created by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl for the brand NORR 11. The Danish brand strives to pay homage to its Scandinavian roots by producing pieces that have the region's hallmark clean, sleek lines. At the same time, the brand blazes its own trail by experimenting with new production materials, methods and forms. The Gear Side Table exemplifies this. Inspired by ancient Greek architecture, the table has a circular top that rests on a trio of cylindrical blocks. The blocks have a ridged design that adds an organic, old century look. The blocks and table top are made of lightweight fibre concrete. Every table is painted by hand to finish and preserve the concrete. The painting is done to give a distressed look rather than a flawless one, adding to the vintage appearance.

The Gear Side Table has a diameter of 45cm and a height of 48cm. It adds an aged, antique look to a room, whether that room is a living room, hallway or home study. It can be used to add contrast to a room done with ultra-modern, contemporary pieces or be added to enhance a bohemian, rustic design theme.
