Quartz Side Table

The Quartz Side Table has been created by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl for the brand NORR 11. Its design is inspired by the Quartz stone so much so that it is shaped to replicate it.

The Quartz Side Table has a six-sided prism tabletop. The stone is cast in lightweight fibre concrete that has a unique, tactile texture. The tabletop is set on a base that is also made of fibre concrete. However, it is cube-shaped and is set at an angled position rather than straight so that the lines of the two shapes don't match which adds a different aesthetic detail. The surface has slight unevenness and minor variations because it is made by hand which also accounts for the deviations.

The Quartz Side Table has a height of 50cm and a diameter of 25cm. With the fibre concrete it is made of and the angled base, this side table can hold its own in terms of style. It can stand on its own in the corner of a living room or as a bedside table. It can also hold a bouquet of flowers in a vase, a potted plant, framed photos or other decorative items. It comes in light and dark-tone neutral colours.
